Full Time or Contract Licensed Therapist at SEDC

Southwest Educational Development Center (SEDC) is hiring a Licensed Therapist, full time with full benefits to work with public school students in the Southwest Region of Utah.
185 workdays a year
. The position will perform a variety of professional and technical duties providing services to adolescents with mental health needs.
Candidates wishing to work part-time as a contractor will also be considered. 185 work days considered full-time contract.

The therapist will provide individual, group and educational services to clients according to their needs and will work closely with other school and community partners to coordinate services. Applicants must have effective interviewing skills and evaluation techniques, knowledge of different modes of psychotherapy, including crisis intervention skills.

Applicants must have a master’s degree and licensed as a LCSW, CMHC, LMFT, or Psychologist in the State of Utah and 3-5 years experience working with mental health issues. It is preferred the therapist has experience with Trauma Informed therapy modalities. The ability to act independently, respond professionally and calmly in crisis situations, communicate effectively verbally and in writing and apply general principles to specific conditions is a must.

Experience in keeping documentation current and a current driver’s license with a good driving record is a must. Familiarity and experience in working with adolescents and their families as well as coordinating with other providers is preferred.
