The Internship Coordinator will be responsible for developing, facilitating, and tracking on- and off-campus internships through the Career & Professional Development Center.

Essential Functions- Increase on- and off-campus internships as well as remote internship opportunities by developing relationships with on-campus faculty/staff and working closely with the Assistant Director for Employer Relations to develop employer relationships in the community, regionally, and nationally.
- Provide one-on-one internship coaching for students.
- Develop an expert understanding of internship policies/procedures at SUU as well as federal/state internship laws/regulations to ensure that both on-campus partners and employers are in compliance with such.
- Convene and support a regular faculty advisory committee on internships acting as the resident expert to answer questions and provide support as a resource.
- Meet regularly with Internship Coordinators in each academic department to develop relationships and offer ongoing support.
- Prepare and present internship presentations to classes and student organizations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Oversee the implementation of the new on-campus Professional Internship Program and SUU Career Academy ensuring the growth and development of these programs.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 Year / Associate degree.
- Strong oral/written communication skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience developing and maintaining professional relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new computer applications quickly.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a team to support departmental goals and operations.
- Ability to work with diverse groups and entities.
- 4 Year / Bachelors degree.
- Experience developing and/or managing internships.
- A demonstrated knowledge of current internship federal/state laws.
