** JOB SUMMARY
** A Crew Leader will assist in managing day-to-day crew assignments on the pavement construction sites. This role will involve supervising crew work to ensure productivity, efficiency, quality, safety, and effectiveness. The Crew Leader will also oversee crew training and the main point of contact for the crew when a Foreman has stepped away or is not present. The Crew Leader will work closely with Foreman’s and Project Managers to make sure work is done in a timely manner and correctly.
** DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES [TRAVEL, SUPERVISORY EXPECTATION, ETC.]*
* · Understand project plans, specifications, and scope of work for assigned projects
· Assist in planning, executing, delegating, and monitoring daily work activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time and within budget
· Lead, manage, and assign tasks to crew members with Foreman guidance
· Assist in overseeing daily construction operations and ensure all work meets project specifications, quality standards, and schedules
· Identify potential project issues, inefficiencies, or roadblocks and communicate them promptly to the Foreman
· Enforce and model all safety policies and procedures at all times
· Co-conduct daily safety briefings, engage in monthly toolbox talks and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment
· Report equipment issues promptly and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed; maintain and execute basic troubleshooting on equipment
· Provide thorough training and mentorship to new crew members across all pavement construction activities performed by the company
· Lead by example, promote a positive work environment, and contribute to the company culture and vision
· All other tasks and duties as assigned

* · Knowledge of pavement construction industry processes and standards

· Ability to act in a professional manner and represent the company well
** REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE*
* · Minimum of 2-3 years experience in pavement construction
· Proven experience leading and training entry-level crew members
· Required to learn business trades, equipment, regulations, traffic control, and all other aspects of pavement construction
· Driver’s License Required
· Flagger Certification Required; company paid training if necessary
** WORK ENVIRONMENT [INCLUDES WORK HOURS, WORK SETTING, TRAVEL, ETC.]*
* · Travel required 100% of the time; will have the option to travel with other team members in company-owned vehicles from Bend, OR to project site [WA, CA, OR, , MT, NV, UT, WY, and other states]
· Work hours vary depending on the project and location of the project but 40+ hours; typically, Sunday-Friday
· Seasonal hourly position that is typically March-November but can vary depending on weather and other project demands
· Position requires working outdoors from March through November in a construction environment with exposure to varying temperatures, weather conditions, and typical job site hazards
· Perform general labor tasks, including pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying tools, materials, and equipment as required
· Paid weekly; base compensation paid if the job is not subject to prevailing wage; prevailing wages will be posted at all jobs subject to prevailing wage rate
