Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Manager to lead MEP projects across the DMV area. This position involves full-charge responsibility for managing multiple medium to large-scale projects, including preparing reports, maintaining records, securing vendor pricing, processing purchase orders, approving invoices, processing change orders, maintaining logs, and corresponding with owner representatives.

Responsibilities

+ Manage the Cost of Goods for all assigned jobs.

+ Maintain and review all RFIs, submittals, substitution requests, change proposals, project schedules, project budgets, purchase orders, and invoices for multiple projects.

+ Analyze projects to determine scope, cost, and scheduling requirements.

+ Obtain permits from General Contractors and local jurisdictions.

+ Arrange returns of unused materials to vendors and ensure credit issuance.

+ Obtain drawings from General Contractors and distribute to necessary personnel.

+ Travel to multiple job locations as required.

+ Attend meetings as needed.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

+ Project management expertise.

+ Construction and construction management knowledge.

+ Mechanical experience with experience in sheet metal, HVAC, and plumbing.

+ Proficiency in Procore software.

+ Experience in commercial construction, change orders, and RFIs.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in construction management or similar field preferred.

+ Minimum of 5+ years as a Project Manager in the commercial HVAC mechanical construction industry on projects $350k+.

Work Environment

The role is based on-site at the office in Ashburn with occasional travel to job sites. It requires the ability to lift up to 60 pounds and involves typical office conditions. A high level of confidentiality for company projects and policy is expected, alongside professional conduct both internally and externally with clients and vendors.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Catonsville, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
