Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager

Accountant needed for our nonprofit client in Catonsville. The Accountant will perform the day‑to‑day accounting functions to include reconciling, reporting, budgeting and auditing. Three month contract position. The non‑negotiable pay rate is $28.50 per hour.

• Prepare monthly internal financial reporting.
• Manage the month and year‑end closing process.
• Prepare and assist with agency annual budgets and special projects.
• Monitor and track budgets for all services programs.
• Assist with payroll processes and analysis as needed.
• Assist with 401K deferrals and analysis.
• Maintain and reconcile Fixed Assets and depreciation.
• Manage general ledger accounts and bank accounts reconciliation.
• Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and related supporting documentation.
• Ensures invoices are paid in an timely manner and that all documentation is scanned and verified.
• Collaborate with Supervisors and other department leaders.

• Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Business.
• Must have at least three years of accounting experience.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Quickbooks.
• Must be able to work three to four days a week, namely from 9:00 am‑5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
• Must be able to pass an FBI background check and drug test.
