Citizens on Patrol is just what you are looking for! Cathedral City Citizens on Patrol (COPs) is a non‑profit volunteer organization that serves as ambassadors and eyes & ears for the Cathedral City Police Department. COP members are volunteers, not officers, and provide valuable partnerships for community policing.
Volunteer OpportunitiesCitizens on Patrol offers roles in several areas of the Police Department:
- Patrol
- Records
- Traffic Bureau
- Special Events
- Major Incidents
Every year new opportunities open, and all COP personnel attend special training from sworn police officers and monthly meetings. Volunteers help the department in many ways and no city benefits are offered.
