Job Details:

• Universal Care RN position with rotating every other Saturday required (no Sunday shifts)

• 4:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends

• Weekend coverage required

• Daily census ranges from 8-20 patients

• Care for adults and geriatrics population

• Float to units in Emergency Services Division as needed

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, CPI (MAB or CPI accepted), CA RN license

• BSN degree required

• 3 years of experience required, travel experience required

• Epic charting system experience required

• Community hospital experience required

• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing

• 50-mile travel requirement (locals accepted at local rate)

• All certifications must be AHA and in hand at time of submittal

• Skills required include cardiac telemetry, blood product administration, central line care, IV management, heparin protocols, dysrhythmia interpretation, wound care, and procedural sedation monitoring

• Provide care for Med Surg/Tele observation or admission holds, including cardiac, GI, respiratory patients

• UCU provides patient care for patients not requiring admission but needing several hours or overnight care

• Complete modules during orientation (1-5 hours average, recorded through e-learning)

• Attend 50% of unit staff meetings or review 100% of staff meeting minutes
