As in-house recruiters for Lambson Innovate based in Castleford, West Yorkshire, we have some fantastic opportunities for a hardworking and progressive individuals to join the production team working from their Castleford site as an Edgebander As an experienced Edgebander, you will be expected to be proficient in setting, operating, and maintaining machinery. Types of Machines expected to operate, Edge banders single and double sided You will have an understanding of machine mechanics and the ability to troubleshoot.

Working hours:

Days - Monday to Thursday 06:00am 17:30pm (44 hours per week) or Nights - Monday to Thursday 18:00pm 06:00am (46 hours per week) Benefits £32,329 - £35,944 (depending on experience) Nights shift allowance Daily 60-minute breaks. 20 days of annual holiday plus bank holidays. Key Responsibilities Quality Control:
Inspecting the finished products for quality and adherence to specifications. Identifying and correcting any defects in the material or application process. Maintenance:
Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on the machine, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn-out parts. Safety and Efficiency:
Following safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Optimizing production processes to minimize waste and improve efficiency. Material Handling:
Loading boards and edging tape into the machines. Ensuring the proper alignment of tape for accurate application. Glue Application:
Monitoring and regulating the glue application process to ensure even coverage. Essential Key Skills Previous machinery experience is essential. Hardworking with a desire to progress. Organised and planned approach to work. Good eye for detail. Commitment to health, safety and quality standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Can work as part of a team or independently. Ability to work accurately to a planned schedule.
