We are currently supporting a fabulous gentleman in his 40s who is blind and has autism. He lives in his own home in the Castleford area and is looking for positive and ambitious people to join his support team. He requires support with his personal care, meal preparation, medication administration and household tasks such as cooking, cleaning and laundry. He's a fun and friendly gentleman who loves spending time with his family, being on his swing, playing with sensory toys, baking, walking and being out and about in his garden.
No two days are the same! The people we support have funded Motability car to further support their independence, so it's essential that you have a Full UK Automatic driving licence and are comfortable driving other people's cars.
- Support with personal care, meal preparation, medication administration and household tasks such as cooking, cleaning and laundry.
- Assist with activities of daily living to promote independence and well-being.
- Provide companionship and engage in activities aligned with the gentleman's interests.
- Work as part of a support team and communicate effectively with family and colleagues.
- Comply with care plans, policies and procedures, and safeguarding requirements.
- Full UK Automatic driving licence and comfortable driving other people's cars.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends; shift patterns typically 8:30–22:30 and 8:30–17:00.
- Ability to support with personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
