Overview
Senior Mental Health Practitioner - Lead Clinician to clinically lead The Specialised Therapies Team within Wakefield CAMHS. The closing date is 04 February 2026.
We are looking for a Lead Clinician to clinically lead The Specialised Therapies Team within Wakefield CAMHS. The successful candidate will work alongside the Team Manager and other Lead Clinicians in the service, with the opportunity to shape how services are provided to children, young people and families within the Wakefield District. The post holder will work with the leadership team to develop and implement new and innovative ways of delivering evidence-based treatments and to develop a clinical competency framework.
Clinical leadership will be provided through supervision, caseload management supervision and teaching. The post holder will work clinically for two days alongside the Lead Clinician within the team and we are seeking a clinician with a therapeutic background. The team includes Art Therapists, Family Therapists, Play Therapists, Drama Therapists, DBT and CBT Practitioners, Clinical Psychologists, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists and Advanced Nurse Practitioners.
