This description covers General Merchandise responsibilities, including inbound, outbound, replenishment, pricing, and guest service aligned to the store operations. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads processes for all General Merchandise areas and supports pick, pack and ship fulfillment to guests.

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks and assist guests to solve their needs.
• Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target.
• Execute daily tasks assigned by leadership to achieve goals aligned with business priorities, including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and putting up promotional signs for GM areas.
• If certified, operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures.
• Execute processes including changing prices, merchandise set-up and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed.
• Learn how operational procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
• Be knowledgeable about store resources, products, and services to solve issues and improve guest experience.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (picking/packing orders or delivering pickup orders) while maintaining compliance with laws where applicable.
• All other duties based on business needs.

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Capability to climb ladders and move merchandise safely; frequently lifting or moving up to 44 pounds without assistance.
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions while performing duties including Drive-Up and carryout.
• Maintain mobility for the duration of a shift.
