Are you a compassionate Registered Nurse, RN ready to embark on a rewarding career in Hospice? Optimal Hospice is experiencing incredible growth, and we are inviting dedicated Registered Nurses to join us on this exciting journey.

Optimal Hospice is looking for a passionate and seasoned Registered Nurse to support with on-call/after hour support in the CO Springs area. The RN will support with visits and care after hour. This is a PRN position. The RN can choose which days they would like to work. We are looking for support during the week and weekends.

THE OPTIMAL HOSPICE REGISTERED NURSE:
  • Hospice heart: compassionate, kind and empathetic to your patients and their families
  • Nurse/Patient Relationship:
    Develops and maintains a therapeutic relationship through the health care continuum
  • Provide direct patient care services to hospice patients
  • Empower patient's caregivers by education them on care for their loved one
  • Provide coordination of care, ensure continuous assessment of each patient's and family's needs
  • Responsible for documentation and communication of care, medication, and observations made during care of the patient in order to track responsiveness and health of patient.
  • Responsible for providing appropriate patient/family education to help patient/family achieve a pain‑free and comfortable status.

PAY:

Base rate for being on-call

$50-100 visit rate

Qualifications

About YOU:

  • Registered nurse with current licensure to practice professional nursing in the state.
  • Graduate of National League for Nursing accredited school of nursing.
  • Maintains a current CPR certification.
  • Current valid driver’s license.
  • At least one year of Hospice experience (preferred)
  • Demonstrates excellent observation, problem solving, verbal and written communications, nursing skills per competency checklist.
  • Shows ability to organize and prioritize workload independently.
