Job SummaryThe Advanced Practice Provider cares for patients within the scope of training and approved agreement. Works collaboratively with other providers to ensure efficient patient flow and a high level of patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Perform complete, detailed, and accurate health histories, review patient records, develop comprehensive medical assessments, and order laboratory, radiological and diagnostic studies appropriate for patients’ complaints, race, sex, and physical condition.
- Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals of patients to appropriate health‑care facilities, agencies, and other resources.
- Institute emergency measures and treatment or appropriate stabilization in situations such as cardiac arrest, shock, hemorrhage, convulsions, poisoning, and allergic reactions.
- Interpret and analyze patient data to determine status, management and treatment.
- Provide instructions and guidance regarding health‑care and health promotion to patients/families and significant others.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family.
- Professional appearance and attitude.
- ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certified – (preferred 1 year ER/UC experience).
- Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice, DEA number, and state‑controlled substance certificate as required.
- Able to multi‑task and work independently.
- Occupational Health/WC Level 1 preferred; DOT certification highly preferred.
- At least one year of experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine.
- Expected to work 12‑hour shifts, weekends, and major holidays.
- DOT Certification required for occupational medicine patients.
- Worker's Compensation experience preferred.
- Active and current DEA number and state‑controlled substance certificate with full prescriptive authority required.
$78,000.00 – $ per year (part‑time and PRN opportunities available).
