Job Description
  • Select appropriate materials and sterilization packaging for each instrument set, ensuring proper wrapping for aseptic technique.
  • Ensure sterility indicators and lot stickers are present on all instrument sets and packages.
  • Operate complex sterilization equipment, selecting the correct method of sterilization based on manufacturer instructions.
  • Review and sign all sterilizer recording charts to verify proper sterilization parameters before releasing items for clinical use.
  • Monitor sterilizer printouts, maintain records, and document all requirements in appropriate log books or computer systems.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking and comprehending effectively to carry out job requirements.
  • Understand the needs of the customer and respond in a proactive, courteous, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Adapt to change with flexibility.
  • Work under stress and meet deadlines.
  • Medical terminology proficiency.
Education
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent [Required]
  • Technical/Vocational School [Preferred]
Field of Study
  • Healthcare Sterile Processing
Work Experience
  • 1+ related experience [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications
  • Certified Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST) [Required] OR
  • Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) [Required]
  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Preferred]
Pay Range

$19.58 - $31.32
