The Town of Castle Rock has outstanding opportunities for Birthday Party Host/Hostess in our Parks and Recreation department. This position is responsible for setup, clean up and assistance during birthday parties. They will perform duties in a manner consistent with the stated values of the organization.

• Assists with leading and instructing a variety of activities such as swimming, games and sports
• Inspects program facility and equipment to ensure a safe and clean environment for patrons
• Communicates with citizens and responds to their inquiries and concerns
• Ensures safety practices. Administers First Aid and performs CPR if necessary
• Greets and interacts with parents and guests
• Shops for and purchases supplies, refreshments and equipment for birthday parties
• Sets up birthday party room prior to parties. Ensures directional signs are posted so guests can find the room
• Cleans room after birthday party

An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: Experience in customer service preferred

Licenses and/or Certifications

Required:

CPR and First Aid Certifications are required (which can be obtained at the Recreation Center) or ability to attain within 30 days of hire. A valid Colorado driver’s license is required.

• Skill in administering First Aid and CPR
• Ability to physically access stores and to shop for supplies and refreshments
• Skill in caring for children and responding to their needs
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions in accordance with established Town policies and procedures
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and coworkers

Must satisfactorily complete a criminal background check prior to commencing employment.
