Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Merchandising

Position SummaryProvides member service by acknowledging the member, identifying member needs, providing guidance, and supporting members regarding self‑service technology. Assists members with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving member issues and concerns, and promoting the company’s products and services. Assists management with the supervision of associates, assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training associates, and providing guidance to ensure complaints and issues are resolved according to company guidelines and comply with policies.
Supports the Open Door Policy, participates in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, coaching, and evaluating associates. Receives and stocks supplies and merchandise, organizes the sales floor, maintains equipment, completes paperwork logs, and adheres to company procedures. Maintains safety according to company policies, conducts safety sweeps, follows forklift procedures, handles hazardous materials, reports unsafe situations, and ensures compliance with steel standard guidelines. Ensures presentation of merchandise according to company policies, handles claims, returns, zoning, stocking, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise, identifies shrink and damages, secures fragile and high‑shrink merchandise.
Monitors food and merchandise quality, ensures rotation, code dating, recalls, sanitation. Oversees picking and staging of club pick‑up orders. Develops and implements processes to meet business needs, collaborates with managers, monitors progress, identifies improvement opportunities. Demonstrates compliance with company policies, promotes ethics and integrity, supports the Open Door Policy, assists in correcting ethical issues. Leads teams, shares resources, sets priorities, coordinates assignments, provides feedback.

The hourly wage range for this position is $20.00 to $28.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
Minimum Qualifications- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- 6 months retail experience AND 6 months customer service experience.
- Leading a team, supervising experience to include hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing the workload of others.
