Drill Bit Repair Technician

Job Description

Join NOV in Casper, WY, as a Drill Bit Repair Technician supporting our Reed Hycalog business unit. This is a great opportunity for individuals with hands‑on mechanical skills to enter or grow in the energy sector. You’ll work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment performing essential repair and maintenance on drill bits. Training is provided, and opportunities for advancement are available.

• Support the repair and maintenance of drill bits used in energy operations.
• Assist with production processes and equipment servicing.
• Follow safety and quality standards at all times.

• Use off‑hand die grinders, blast equipment, and pressure washers to clean and prep parts.
• Assist senior technicians with repairs and servicing procedures.
• Operate OD or centerless grinders to finish surfaces.
• Apply paint and inspect nozzle fit and alignment.
• Complete production paperwork and maintain accurate service records.
• Follow all safety protocols and work instructions.

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in mechanical repair, mechanical assembly, or equipment repair preferred.
• Basic knowledge of power tools, grinders, and shop equipment.
• Flexibility to work shifts as assigned (may include evenings/weekends).
