Reporting to the Senior Planner of the Development Department, this position performs responsible office and fieldwork involving planning, zoning, and land use. This position provides support to the Senior Planner and in the absence of a Senior Planner conducts Senior Planner duties as assigned by the Director. This position reviews plans and applications for compliance to zoning rules; updates current regulations, including working with consultants, working with public, attending meetings;
maintains a database of zoning activities; provides support to Senior Planner to ensure Planning and Zoning regulations are being updated and enforced in day to day activities.
Applicants should have a Wyoming drivers license. Also a Bachelor's Degree in related field and 2 years planning experience; or equivalent combination of educations and experience. Applicants must have the ability to obtain an AICP Certification on a timeline as agreed with Senior Planner. Two years of GIS experience is also preferred.
