Roles & Responsibilities
- Economic Impact Assessment, Macroeconomic Analysis, or Forecasting
- Public Finance Management

- Working as an Economist in a consulting environment or with a government body (e.g., Ministry of Finance, Executive Council, etc.).
- Designing and delivering training programs and workshops.
- Preparing clear, concise, and well-structured reports for various audiences, including both technical staff and executive-level stakeholders
. - Translating complex fiscal data into actionable strategies and implementation roadmaps
. - Establishing and maintaining positive, productive relationships with clients and colleagues
, including significant interaction with senior government officials and advisors
, often at the ministerial level
. - Coaching and developing junior team members to enhance their skills and expertise.
- Driving business development activities
, such as identifying new opportunities
, creating high-quality project proposals
, and managing risk and quality processes
. - Demonstrating a global mindset and an ability to connect with colleagues across various PwC service lines
, delivering multidisciplinary solutions to clients.
- Proven experience with or within government bodies (e.g., Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economy).
- Expertise in leading projects focused on:
- Designing and implementing Public Finance Management (PFM) frameworks, reforms, and best practices.
- Designing and implementing fiscal policies related to revenue, expenditure, and debt management
. - Assessing the impact of fiscal policies
.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the public sector financial lifecycle
, including:- Budgeting, procurement, expenditure control, revenue management, and reporting
. - Familiarity with international PFM standards and best practices
.
- Budgeting, procurement, expenditure control, revenue management, and reporting
- Strong ability to structure complex issues and solve problems through analytical skills.
- Experience with economic impact analysis or related modeling techniques to evaluate policy impacts.
- Excellent project management skills
. - Capability to simplify complex concepts for non-technical audiences through effective written and verbal communication
. - Skilled in preparing visually engaging and well-structured reports
. - Passion for team development and mentoring
, with a focus on knowledge sharing
. - Willingness and ability to travel within the Middle East or as required by project needs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
. - Experience with tools like Stata, R, EViews, Power
BI, Tableau, or Think Cell is preferred. - Professional proficiency in Arabic (both oral and written) is advantageous.
- 0–3 years of experience in economics
, preferably in a consulting environment
.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Econometrics, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications in Public Financial Management (PFM) are highly preferred.
