This role offers an opportunity to promote a positive shopping and donor experience, enhance customer service, problem-solving, and teamwork skills, while contributing to the success of our Program and its participants.

Responsibilities of the Sales Associate/Material Handler
  • Greet customers and donors warmly, providing prompt and courteous assistance.
  • Stock and merchandise items on the sales floor.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including donation areas.
  • Follow POS/Cash Register Policies in line with TSA Procedures.
  • Ensure safety and compliance standards are met.
  • Attend monthly store meetings.
  • Receive, unload, and stock incoming inventory accurately.
  • Inspect products for defects and damages.
  • Assist donors with removal of donated items and provide receipts.
  • Sort and stack donated materials properly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to operate POS/Cash Register accurately.
  • Pass background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
  • Effective communication skills with management, staff, customers, and donors.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist regularly.
  • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform repetitive motions as needed.
  • Perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Schedule

Stores operate 7 days a week. Flexibility is required to ensure adequate coverage, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The organization will comply with COVID-19 safety measures, including vaccination requirements, with considerations for exemptions on religious or medical grounds.
