Assistant Procurement Specialist - Casa Grande, AZ Day Shift
Purpose of the Role:
Responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing suppliers to ensure the organization receives high-quality materials and goods at competitive prices, delivered on time, and in alignment with internal standards and production needs.
This position works out of our Casa Grande, Arizona location in the Abbott Nutrition division. Our Nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow to keeping adult bodies strong and active. Casa Grande, Ariz., is one of Abbott’s leading nutrition manufacturing plants in the U.S., reflecting our commitment to innovation and excellence. You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
What You’ll Work On- Recognize and evaluate sales, promotional campaigns, and other opportunities to secure reduced prices.
- Assess supplier’s products to ensure they comply with specifications and meet the organization’s quality standards.
- Analyze and evaluate supplier bids, tenders, proposals, or quotations.
- Negotiate prices and delivery conditions.
- Commit to purchases (within established limits of authority) with terms that are in the organization’s best interest.
- Interpret inventory requests, production schedules, purchase requisitions, orders, and other documents to coordinate purchasing activities with the organization’s current and anticipated demand for goods and materials.
- Monitor the quality and timeliness of materials and goods supplied.
- Follow up the status of purchase orders with vendors to ensure timely delivery.
- Education:
Associate Degree (± 13 years) - Minimum of 1 year of experience
Shift: 7:30am to 4:00pm;
Monday through Friday

Compensation and BenefitsThe base pay for this position is $50,700.00 – $. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
