Overview

Controls Technician - Day Shift - Casa Grande, AZ ott is a global healthcare leader with a portfolio spanning diagnostics, medical devices, nutritionals and branded generic medicines. This position supports Abbott Nutrition manufacturing operations in Casa Grande, AZ.

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial equipment, power systems, lighting, control systems, and PLC logic for production processes.
• Work with electrical power (24V–600V), automation controllers, VFDs, sensors, and inspection devices.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and instruments.
• Use tools and instruments such as voltage testers, ammeters, oscilloscopes, vibration analyzers, and laser measurement equipment.
• Lead and train team members; document and communicate shift activities clearly.
• Support plant operations across packaging, processing, filling, warehouse, and facilities.
• Respond to equipment emergencies, troubleshoot I/O systems, and communicate with production teams to minimize downtime.
• Participate in electrical upgrades and monitor contractor work.
• Maintain compliance with FDA, OSHA, and company policies.
• Stay current with advancing technology through training and vendor programs.

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• Knowledge of electricity, electrical theory, PLCs, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to work safely in electrical panels up to 480 volts.
• Proficiency in reading schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.

• Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

• Shift: 12-hour Day Shift (6:00 am – 6:00 pm)
• Schedule:
  
  Every other weekend off with a 4-week rotation (sample below)

• Week 1:
  Wed & Thu (12 hrs)
• Week 2:
  Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun (12 hrs)
• Week 3:
  Same as Week 1
• Week 4:
  Same as Week 2

The base pay for this position is $24.50 – $49.00 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
