Overview
Roadside Technician position described as an emergency response tire technician for semi-truck fleets. When a customer has a tire-related failure, a Technician is dispatched to the customer’s location to repair or change the tire. A Technician is expected to be roadside when performing job duties. When there are no service calls, Technicians will help mount orders, clean and organize the shop, and perform other general duties as needed.

Position DetailsStarting pay: $20 Hourly
The role of the Roadside Technician can be summarized as above. You will be trained in any skills required; experience isn’t required for this position.
Shift information: There is a mandatory on-call rotation. During on-call periods, technicians are expected to run after-hours service calls at a 95% accept rate, including weekends and nights. Time worked on after-hours service calls is paid in double time with a minimum of 2 hours per call. Example: if a technician accepts, arrives, and completes a call in 45 minutes, they will receive an additional 1 hour 15 minutes of double-time pay.

- Valid driver’s license and meet commercial driver qualification requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous Commercial Service Tire experience preferred
What skills will you learn?
- Servicing commercial tires including dismounting, mounting, and repairing any type of tire
- Perform match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout as necessary
- Inflating tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements
- Complying with OSHA regulations and safety requirements, including wearing proper PPE, using tire cages, and following all safety policies and procedures
