Lead Scheduler – Apex Systems

Location:

Wilson, NC (Onsite). Contract duration: 18–24 months with extension potential.

Position Title: Lead Project Scheduler.

About the Opportunity: Supporting a major life sciences construction initiative in Wilson, NC. The role is part of a high‑impact biologics manufacturing buildout. The planner will lead schedule integration, validation and oversight across all construction phases during early‑stage construction.

• Lead and manage the full project schedule across multiple construction phases.
• Validate and monitor schedule performance; report transparently on delays and risks.
• Support and oversee a team of two schedulers and coordinate with a third‑party project partner.
• Interface with the Scheduling Director and project controls team.
• Maintain visibility across all schedule components (e.g., production, warehouse).
• Inherit and manage existing schedule files and team dynamics.

• 12–20+ years of experience in life sciences construction projects.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 required;
  Oracle Primavera Cloud experience specifically is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Recent experience in pharma projects, including commissioning, validation, and startup.
• Ability to work onsite in Wilson, NC (relocation or long‑distance commuting options considered).

• Strong communicator who surfaces issues clearly and proactively.
• Resilient and adaptable; comfortable in a fast‑paced, high‑visibility environment.
• Quick to build rapport with existing teams; collaborative and confident.
• Able to manage complexity while maintaining clarity and accountability.
