Primary Objective:
Under direct supervision, operates all production and welding machines.
- Operates all production machines within the department (such as saws, brazers, buffing, deburring and cleaning equipment) to ensure products meet specifications.
- Performs repetitive orbital tig welding operations by positioning pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, or guides.
- Ability to perform non-destructive tests such as the pressure tester and helium leakage tester.
- Maintains good housekeeping methods to facilitate orderly and efficient operations.
- Maintains required information logs and records for reference (i.e. weld coupon logs)
- Utilizes information systems (computer terminals, PC Label Maker and other information processing methods) to make product labels, procure sales order information, print schedules and track the assembly process of various sales orders.
- Assists and backs up other team members as required to satisfy customer requirements and meet production deadlines.
- Communicates with supervisors, lead persons and other departments concerning any problems with product, assembly, documentation, and/or schedule.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the following:
- Manufacturing processes
- Temposonics quality system
- Temposonics lean manufacturing operations such as KANBAN and 5S
- Temposonics safety programs and follows accordingly
- Knows and applies the division’s quality policy and procedures of ISO 9001 as it relates to area of responsibility and the organization. Follows all standard operating procedures as prescribed and notifies appropriate personnel of any non-conformance.
- Performs other related duties as directed.

- 2 years of experience in work environment with advanced level of machine tool operation and demonstrated ability to perform all functions in a pipe shop
- Demonstrated ability to perform difficult or complex set-ups or operations
- Demonstrated experience using Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems.
