reporting to the restore cabinet manager, the assistant restore cabinet manager supports all aspects of the cabinet program while being intentionally developed for future advancement into the cabinet manager role. This position provides hands‑on experience in cabinet sales, customer engagement, and operational management.

the assistant restore cabinet manager plays a key role in qualifying cabinet leads to ensure time and resources are focused on customers ready to move forward, guiding customers through the intake, design, and ordering process, and closing sales through a consultative approach. This role also supports administrative functions, maintains high standards of customer service, and assists with tracking and reporting cabinet sales activity.

the position requires flexibility, strong communication and selling skills, and a willingness and ability to conduct accurate home and on‑site measurements for residential and business customers. This is a full‑time exempt position requiring availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

essential functions operational responsibilities
  • work with the cabinet manager to manage daily operations of the cabinet program through all steps of the process, working with each customer directly and responding to any cabinet inquiries
  • to utilize software to design layouts for each project, based on dimensions and design requests of the customer
  • to interact with customers on a daily basis to discuss the features/benefits of our program and work with cabinet manager to address any concerns
  • maintain reporting and tracking of customer relations management system (crm) and communicate updates to cabinet manager and restore manager
  • have knowledge of cabinet product lines and be able to explain the products to customers and answer any questions
  • schedule appointments with cabinet customers to walk through layout and design options and show samples of available cabinet products
  • financial accountability including creating accurate quotes for customers with correct pricing and shipping information and working with the cabinet manager to analyze cabinet sales and profitability.

minimum education and experience requirements
  • experience working in design or with design software
  • some basic construction experience and ability to accurately measure
  • valid drivers license and access to a vehicle

the assistant restore cabinet manager has frequent contact with other hfhwc staff, clients, stakeholders, vendors, donors, community service work programs, customers, external private/public entities, and government agencies for the exchange of information and to solve problems and discover opportunities.

the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be on their feet for long periods of time (8‑hour days, 5 days/week). This position requires the ability to occasionally lift items up to 30 pounds.

environment

this job operates primarily in a retail/warehouse environment and can require operating equipment such as power tools, hand tools, ladders, price guns, pallet jacks and other material handling equipment. Occasional use of personal vehicles to attend off‑site meetings and on‑site measurements required.
