About The JobThe Global Engineering organization is seeking a Vice President, Product Management to lead and shape the company’s product portfolios. This executive role is pivotal in establishing vision and strategy, driving cross‑functional alignment, and ensuring that product management excellence is embedded throughout the organization.
As a Vice President, Product Management, You Will- Oversee the development and management of global product portfolios, shaping and continuously refining their vision and strategy.
- Ensure alignment across cross‑functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, UX, API, Accessibility, Open Source, and Technical Enablement.
- Set and monitor portfolio performance metrics, driving company‑wide enablement for ongoing feature development.
- Advocate for best practices in user experience and API design throughout the product lifecycle.
- Organize and rationalize multiple channels of incoming requirements, mapping them systematically to SAS strategic priorities.
- Collaborate with industry leads, portfolio product managers, UX and API leads, Accessibility Team, Open‑Source Program Office, and Technical Enablement to ensure integrated, innovative, and inclusive product development.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the distinct needs of SaaS customers compared to traditional on‑premises enterprise software, ensuring the future product portfolio is thoughtfully designed to address both.
- Foster initiatives that enable the organization to deliver requirements consistently, proactively identifying opportunities for new portfolios and products.
- Implement accessibility training and automation tools and establish a robust Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) process.

- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in product management, with at least 7 years in executive or global leadership roles overseeing large, complex product portfolios.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross‑functional, global teams and driving strategic alignment across diverse business units.
- Proven track record of developing and executing product strategies that deliver measurable business outcomes and customer value.
- Deep understanding of technology trends, user experience, and API design best practices.
- Exceptional organizational leadership, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills.
- Equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
- Global perspective:
Leveraging knowledge of global strategy, business trends, and regional differences to enhance results by remaining sensitive to international market, cultural, technological, political, and legal factors. - Collaboration & influence:
Skilled at building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels, fostering a culture of partnership and innovation. - Strategic planning:
Identifies key issues and relationships to achieve long‑range goals, then commits to the best course of action based on logical analysis of facts, resources, constraints, and organizational values. - Preferred:
Experience with open‑source community engagement, accessibility best practices, and technical enablement strategies. - Preferred:
Willing to work in Cary, NC or Glasgow, Scotland.
