Job Title: Informatica MDM Data Engineer

Location: Hybrid – 3 days onsite (Mon–Wed) in New Jersey or Cary, 2 days remote (Thu–Fri)

Visa: Spousal visa acceptable (no other visa sponsorship available)

We are working with a very well known insurance business seeking an experienced Informatica MDM Data Engineer to join our US Data Platforms team supporting a large-scale analytics and Global Party Management ecosystem.

This role will focus on stabilizing, optimizing, and enhancing our Master Data Management (MDM) environment following a major production incident, while contributing to the evolution of our Customer 360 capabilities.

You will work within a 7-person Data Platform team (with an extended global team of ~20), supporting mission-critical systems managing:

• Billions of data transactions

This is a highly operational, hands‑on role with significant impact across internal IT stakeholders.

• Configure and maintain MDM Hub in Informatica (v10 or higher).
• Troubleshoot and resolve production failures and performance issues.
• Lead root cause analysis and remediation for major incidents.
• Optimize match/merge rules, survivorship logic, and data models.
• Support Customer 360 cloud transition initiatives.

• Diagnose and resolve pipeline bottlenecks and data quality failures.
• Drive system stability and production reliability.
• Partner with vendor-supported remote MDM teams.
• Monitor performance and implement tuning improvements.

• Work across the broader data pipeline (mainframe integrations, analytics platform).
• Implement SQL-based optimizations and data troubleshooting.
• Contribute to Java-based enhancements and performance improvements where needed.
• Collaborate with analytics and internal IT consumers of Global Party data.

• Strong hands‑on experience with Informatica MDM (v10+)
• Demonstrated production support & operational troubleshooting experience
• Experience working with large‑scale enterprise data environments (tens of millions of records)
• Ability to diagnose and resolve performance and optimization issues
  
  Experience handling high‑volume data environments (billions of records/transactions)

• Java knowledge (performance tuning / optimizations beneficial)
• Exposure to full data pipeline architecture
• Experience in large enterprise environments (40M+ customer scale)
• Experience with Customer 360 implementations
• Background in resolving major production incidents

• Operational mindset – able to troubleshoot, stabilize, and optimize production systems
