DB Global Technology, Inc. seeks an Assistant Vice President in Cary, NC to monitor, maintain and support applications and their operating environments, focusing on stability, quality and functionality against service level expectations.

This position requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent, and three (3) years of experience working in a client-facing function to support controlled production environments for financial services technology. The role involves utilizing complex IT infrastructure including UNIX, Middleware such as Web Logic or Web Sphere, Cloud technologies like AWS or GCP, and MQ to support mission critical Tier 0/1 applications in production.

Responsibilities include working with databases such as Oracle and MSSQL, writing SQL scripts and queries to analyze and troubleshoot issues, reducing manual toil through automation, and performing application support for J2EE and .NET applications.

Core technical skills include scripting in Python or Power Shell, automation using Ansible, application performance monitoring tools such as Geneos, Splunk, App Dynamics, Dynatrace, Grafana, New Relic, and batch scheduling tools such as Control-M. Proficiency in programming languages like Java/J2EE, .NET, and Python, as well as certificate management and ITIL/ITSM frameworks (incident, problem, and change management processes) is required.
