EFS Technical Service Specialist

Overview

This position is responsible for serving as a customer contact for Cotton Incorporated’s Engineered Fiber Selection (EFS®) System software customers worldwide. This position will consistently provide excellent customer service to EFS® System software accounts by facilitating installations, training, and assisting in special projects such as documentation and software testing. Additional duties include communicating, coordinating, and consulting internally and externally to foster supportable relationships with EFS® customers, as well as traveling globally in support of implementation and product support efforts.

Core Functions:

• Install and support EFS® System Software products via phone, e-mail, internet, and face-to-face interaction
• Facilitate training and implementation of EFS® System Software products
• Review, create, and translate communications and software documentation
• Submit regular trip reports detailing on-site visits and other activities
• Assist with EFS® promotion and marketing initiatives
• Represent Cotton Incorporated throughout the industry as needed
• Assist with departmental and/or other company projects/activities as needed

Job Requirements:

• 2 to 5 years’ experience in technology-related account management, project management, technical support, and/or customer service
• Experience training end users on software products
• Ability to understand and troubleshoot issues related to technology, PC hardware, software, networks and peripherals
• Adaptive and quick to learn new software technologies, techniques, and processes
• Fluent in written and verbal English
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to represent the company in a credible and professional manner
• Ability to interact with various audiences via e-mail, telephone, and face-to-face
• Superior customer service skills in addition to professional enthusiasm
• Strong work ethic combined with self-motivation and personal initiative
• Ability to work well independently and within a team to meet deadlines and accomplish goals
• Ability to manage multiple projects at a time and prioritize accordingly
• Experience with Windows® operating systems and Microsoft™ Office Suite
• Familiarity with the textile industry, a plus
• This position requires domestic and international travel up to 30% of the time

Working Conditions / Physical Demands:

• General office environment with quiet to moderate noise level
• Varied working conditions off-site due to travel
• Business casual dress clothes required
• Regularly required to sit and use hands to type and grasp, with frequent standing, walking, and bending/twisting at the neck/waist
• Occasionally required to push, pull, and reach above/below shoulder level
• Occasionally required to lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds
• Frequently required to have face-to-face and telephone interaction with internal staff and external contacts
• Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
