GCP AI Architect – Contract

Onsite – Multiple Locations (Cary, NC and 85 Great Portland Street, London, England, W1W 7LT
)

• $40-$45 per hour
• 40 hours per week

• Architect and scale cloud services for the App Manager/GSIS/HES ecosystem on Google Cloud to handle high‑volume app traffic, telemetry pipelines, and time series data with robust release management.
• Design PaaS‑native architectures for ingestion, transformation, streaming, and time series storage (Big Query/Bigtable); enable DaaS/portal for data discovery and controlled consumption.
• Operationalize ML using Big Query ML and Vertex AI; establish model lifecycle, validation, monitoring, and rollback.
• Implement CI/CD & Dev Sec Ops  for app services; enforce coding standards, scalability patterns, and security baselines.
• Integrate with HES/MDMS/GSIS and utility systems; ensure secure, reliable APIs and contracts.
• Build real‑time observability (metrics/logs/traces/health dashboards) for Java applets/services.

• 7–12 years in cloud platform architecture with strong experience in GCP, microservices, streaming, and time series databases.
• Experience with Vertex AI/Big Query ML, API gateways, and high‑scale event pipelines in utilities/IoT.
• Proficiency in CI/CD, Dev Sec Ops , and secure coding practices.
• Leadership in architecture design with cross‑functional collaboration and concise documentation.

• B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech degree.
• GCP Architect – 7 years (Required).
• Big Query/Big Query ML/Vertex AI – 7 years (Required).
• GCP Professional certification (Required).
• Knowledge of Java and observability technologies.
• Experience working with high‑volume application traffic and telemetry pipelines.
