Outcomes (A4O) is an innovative, fast-growing for-profit organization building systems and services that strengthen communities. We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting & Fiscal Operations Specialist who is a certified Quick Books user to support financial operations in close partnership with the CFO and the administrative leadership team. The Accounting Technician will support day-to-day financial operations, ensure accuracy of financial records, complete payroll, and help strengthen internal financial systems as the organization scales. This role requires precision, discretion, and the ability to operate effectively in a build-as-we-grow environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial Operations
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Process invoices, reimbursements, and vendor payments
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries in Quick Books, in a complex multi-level system
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Assist with monthly and quarterly financial close processes
- Support payroll processing and coordination with HR
- Prepare financial reports and internal budget tracking summaries
- Monitor expense coding and ensure proper cost allocation across projects
Data Integrity & Compliance
- Maintain organized financial documentation and audit-ready files
- Support grant and contract financial tracking (if applicable)
- Assist with preparation for external audits or financial reviews
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and for-profit accounting standards
Operational Support
- Collaborate with operations and program teams to ensure accurate expense tracking
- Support process improvements to strengthen financial systems and reporting workflows
- Assist in developing scalable financial procedures as the organization grows
- Quick Books Certified User (required)
- 10 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and for-profit accounting practices
- High proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools
- Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to manage confidential financial information with discretion
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
