I am partnered with a well-established local land developer in the Cary / Raleigh area seeking an experienced Civil Engineer / Project Manager to join their growing internal engineering team.
They specializes in residential land development projects and operates in a focused, streamlined environment with themselves as the single primary client. The team values quality, efficiency, and a sustainable workload — without the pressure of tracking billable hours.
The Civil Project Manager will oversee civil site design and project execution while coordinating directly with internal leadership, contractors, and stakeholders. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Engineering and offers strong mentorship and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities- Manage civil site development projects from design through construction
- Perform grading, stormwater, and land development design
- Complete engineering calculations and technical analysis
- Prepare and review plans and markups
- Coordinate with contractors and respond to RFIs
- Conduct occasional site visits (primarily within 25–50 miles)
- Ensure compliance with local jurisdictional requirements
- Support QA/QC processes and maintain design quality
- 4+ years of civil engineering experience
- Strong background in residential land development
- Experience with grading design and stormwater systems
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of Hydro
CAD, Hydroflow, or similar tools - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Salary range: $95,000 – $125,000
- Performance and company-based bonus ($2,000+)
- 40-hour work weeks
