RFK is seeking a skilled Vehicle Dynamics Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is a technically skilled, detail-oriented engineer. In this role is tasked with weekly pre-event model & tool development.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:- Vehicle dynamic simulation tool development & correlation.
- Attending & managing driver-in-the-loop simulator sessions.
- Attend track tests.
- Attend rig tests (8-Post, K-Rig).
- Maintenance of simulation input files.
- Prepare and distribute weekly pre-event performance analysis.
- Prepare and distribute weekly pre-event documentation.
- Develop methods & standards to analyze tire force & moment data.
- Dive digital and documented culture.
- Assist teams with strategy during race weekends.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Engineering, Economics, Data Science or, another quantitative field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience utilizing vehicle dynamics simulation tools (MSC.ADAMS, Modelica/Dymola, Car Sim, IPG Car Maker).
- Programming experience with one or more of the following languages: C, C#, , MATLAB, Python.
- OEM/Automotive/Racing industry experience a plus.
