Job Details- Lead and manage water, wastewater, and land development projects from initial planning through final design and permitting for municipal, private, and industrial clients at the local, national, and international level.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing communication, expectations, and long‑term relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Define and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and staffing plans in collaboration with internal engineering teams.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary design efforts to ensure technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery of high‑quality design packages.
- Perform and oversee the design of water and wastewater systems, including pipelines, pump stations, treatment components, and related infrastructure.
- Lead site development design efforts, including grading, drainage, stormwater management, erosion control, and utility layouts.
- Review and approve engineering calculations, technical reports, drawings, and specifications, providing PE‑level oversight and QA/QC.
- Guide projects through local, state, and federal permitting processes, coordinating directly with regulatory agencies as needed.
- Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and scope changes, to ensure projects remain aligned with client expectations.
- Mentor junior engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and supporting professional development.
- Support business development initiatives through proposal development, scope definition, and technical input.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or closely related field).
- 3–10 years of hands‑on civil engineering design experience, preferably in water/wastewater or land development.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required (or strong preference for candidates with PE; EIT must be actively pursuing licensure if considered).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Experience producing construction documents and performing engineering calculations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with clients and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Experience with municipal water/wastewater infrastructure and site development projects.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal permitting and regulatory processes.
- Experience working on public‑sector projects or within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
