Our industry leading partner has an excellent opportunity for the right Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join their team.
This will be ONLY on a direct hire basis for a client in Cary, NC. This hybrid position requires onsite work three days per week (Tuesday – Thursday) and offers an excellent opportunity to grow, climb the ladder, and shape the enterprise as you work to foster and improve their cloud security posture / management.

Salary: $115,000 – $135,000 + 10% bonus + Stock Options + 401k match + GREAT benefits package.
Responsibilities- Design, implement, deploy, and manage large and complex next-gen firewalls as well as their network security policies.
- Deploy native security tools in Azure (cloud) environments (CASB, WAFs, Sentinel, Intune, Defender, et cetera).
- Work with integrating security capabilities and SASE solutions across distributed networks.
- Create centralized and documented privilege systems (IAM, Identity, Zero Trust, following least privilege principles).
- Own all efforts across the security platform, including working with threat detection tools, response tools, and various Microsoft-centric security suite tools to best harden and guard the enterprise.
- 5+ years of experience in network security engineering.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Palo Alto, Zscaler, Wire Shark, Azure, AWS, Forinet, Cisco ASA, et cetera.
- Strong abilities working with Cloud Native / Cloud-first security and network technologies.
- Able to drive conversations, create improvements, and make suggestions or recommendations for courses of action regarding platforms, networks, security, systems, and above all else, security (in the cloud) and also work across the table and collaborate cross functionally both with leadership, and other engineering partners in other business units (application, network, business systems, et cetera).
- Must be able to come into an environment and immediately start to work on best practices for improving cloud security posture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent STEM required, and can be substituted with equivalent work experience (I.E. Associates and strong certifications).
