Aviation Project Manager

Base pay range: $92,100.00 to $ per year.

Jacobs is a leading provider of engineering, consulting, and technical services, with over 50 years of experience in airport projects. With our Aviation team you will lead civil and structural engineering projects for major airports throughout the Carolinas.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and manage projects, overseeing progress and ensuring quality delivery.
  • Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, and agencies throughout all project phases.
  • Conceptualize civil design approaches for airfield and site development projects using advanced engineering techniques.
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex challenges, including conflicting design requirements and material limitations.
  • Supervise design tasks and manage project coordination with clients and local officials.
  • Lead, review, and mentor less experienced engineers and technical staff, fostering growth and collaboration.
  • Participate in contract bidding and administration; observe project activities on-site.
  • Scope and develop level of effort for new projects.
  • Build and maintain client relationships, supporting business development and proposal efforts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE or equivalent).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina.
  • 10+ years of aviation design experience.
  • Proven project management experience in a consulting environment.
  • Established client relationships in North Carolina.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and CAE tools.
  • Experience preparing reports, plans, and specifications using FAA, UFC, or ICAO standards.
Desired
  • Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Airfield civil engineering design experience.
