We recommend colleges that fit clients’ factors and budgets, assist in identifying career paths, and support them in achieving their goals cost‑effectively.
We are seeking a College Planning Advisor at our Class 101 Wake County office. The ideal candidate is self‑motivated, dedicated to client needs, and ready to learn and execute a proven college planning system.
College Planner Responsibilities- Deliver effective meetings with students to educate and empower them using the Class 101 curriculum
- Encourage, motivate, and keep students on track throughout the college admissions process
- Serve as an instructor for group preparation classes and tutor SAT/ACT lessons and workshops
- Gain expertise in Class 101 curricula and our approach to helping students and families
- Identify student goals for college and career and understand family college budget requirements
- Counsel students and families on scholarships and financial aid resources
Develop college lists and provide regular meeting summaries - Serve as a reliable source of knowledge for students and families
- Maintain and grow knowledge of colleges popular with students in your area
- Meet deadlines for submitting applications and develop reports on students’ progress on standardized tests
- Guide students through the essay writing process
- Increase client base by communicating program details to prospective clients and referrals
- Follow up on leads and schedule family presentations
- Conduct sales presentations to potential students and families and close deals
- Meet and maintain monthly and quarterly goals
- Lead marketing activities and expand social media presence
- Assist with administrative tasks
- Manage intake of new students, scheduling, and calendar
- Create and deliver content for communication
- Establish and maintain professional relationships
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- Passion for working with high school students and their families
- Knowledge of business operations and sales
- Sales and/or customer service experience
- Familiarity with technology and social media
- Deadline and detail‑oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong phone skills
- Ability to influence and build relationships
- Availability to work evenings and weekends

Availability:
Candidates must be available to work at least 4 shifts Monday‑Friday from 3 pm‑7:30 pm and Saturdays from 11 am‑3 pm.
Compensation: $20.00 per hour
