Job Description:
Assisting daily operations both in class and administration. Covers teachers in the classroom when needed, and assists the Director and Assistant Director in basic administrative tasks such as filing, answering the phone, handing information to staff, covering teacher’s breaks, attending daily teacher’s and parent’s needs, and overall clerical duties. Ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies. Assure that all students, parents and school employees live in a safe-learning-nurturing environment.
Constantly following professional practices consistent with the preschool policies in working with students, parents and colleagues. Assisting and supporting in all classrooms when required following all DCDEE rules and regulations while supervising children at all times and promoting a nurturing environment.
- Is creative, dynamic, enthusiastic, communicative, cooperative and organized.
- Great people and communication skills, in English and Spanish.
- Takes care of the children and watches over their safety while in the school premises.
- Adheres to the policy and procedures of SFF! and the DCDEE (Division of Child Development and Early Education).
- Acts as a role model both inside and outside the school.
- Complies with responsibility and efficiency the tasks entrusted.
- Maintains a positive and respectful attitude at all times.
- Encourage teamwork among all staff.
- Frequently communicates with the Director, Regional Manager, Program coordinator, parents and staff.
- Demonstrates flexibility in the face of changes or according to the needs of the parents, staff or the school.
- Maintains confidential the information of the children, staff, and families of the school.
- Works in cooperation with children, staff, and parents.
- Seeks to generate at all times a warm, cordial and cooperative climate in the center. Take care of the work environment.

- Bachelor Degree in Education, Business Administration or a related field plus 18 Early Childhood Education coursework including admin classes (EDU 261 and EDU 262)
- At least 6 months experience working in a childcare center. At least 1 year of administrative experience
- Bilingual
- Child Maltreatment Certificate
- CPR and certified first aid
