Staff Accountant

Description

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Asheboro, North Carolina. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals skilled in accounting and eager to contribute to a dynamic work environment. The ideal candidate should have expertise in financial management processes and a strong background in Quick Books Online and accounts payable.

Responsibilities:

- Manage accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.

- Utilize Quick Books Online to maintain and update financial records efficiently.

- Prepare and record journal entries to ensure accurate tracking of financial transactions.

- Maintain the general ledger and reconcile accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy.

- Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns and sales tax documentation.

- Collaborate with team members to analyze financial data and support decision-making processes.

- Monitor compliance with accounting policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulations.

- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring deadlines are met.

- Perform audits and reviews to verify the accuracy of financial information.

- Address and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner.

Requirements - Proficiency in Quick Books Online, with demonstrated experience in managing accounts payable.

- Strong understanding of corporate tax returns and sales tax processes.

- Experience in preparing and recording journal entries accurately.

- Familiarity with maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts.

- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including month-end and year-end close procedures.

- Ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives effectively.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to address financial challenges.
