Accounting Assistant

This position is responsible for full cycle project accounting for new construction projects and supporting the accounting department activities.

• Utilize accounting software to input projects- including cost code alignment, invoice posting, and revenue tracking
• Progress billing for construction projects (G702/703 experience helpful)
• Contract and change order oversight and management within accounting system.
• Create and process lien waivers. Existing notary public a plus
• Retainage release follow through and accountability
• Collaborate with project managers/executives to validate labor and material costs each month
• Recognize revenue inconsistency
• Provide professional assistance to vendors and customers regarding all aspects of the billing process
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to company policies

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or related field (construction accounting a strong plus)
• Strong knowledge of AR billing processes and practices
• Familiarity with GAAP principles
• Proficient in using accounting software for data entry and reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent math skills, attention to detail, and intermediate/advance Excel knowledge for accurate record keeping
