Are you an experienced children’s nurse looking for a new challenge? An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic children’s nurse to work within the Children’s Respiratory nursing team. The post will involve working within the Regional Cystic Fibrosis (CF) nursing service and the bronchiectasis nursing services at the Great North Children’s Hospital. The unit provides a comprehensive service across the Northern region for children aged 0‑18 years and their families.

The post holder will join a highly motivated team of specialist nurses, supporting and managing the care of children with CF and other respiratory conditions, both within the hospital and in their own home. Therefore, good communication skills and collaborative working across professional boundaries will be essential. We are looking to recruit a self‑motivated children’s nurse who is able to adapt their skills to an ever‑changing role, in different environments and at times working unsupervised.
The applicant should have evidence of professional development to diploma level or equivalent. All applicants must be self‑motivated and have a flexible, enthusiastic approach.
