Job Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a full or part time reliable, motivated and flexible individual to join Community Services and be part of the Administration Team. The post holder will be expected to work evenings and weekends up to 10pm on a rota basis, providing support to Community Nursing. Work is within the Single Point of Access Team based at Regent Point.
The role includes receiving calls from patients, carers, relatives, health professionals and other service users. Admin staff in this service work between 8am and 10pm on a rota basis including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Main duties of the jobThe post holder will work alongside other clerical staff to evaluate and prioritise workload in a busy environment and respond to the changing needs of service users in line with local and national targets. They will provide a high standard of admin support to clinical staff, handling telephone calls, using the electronic health record Systm One and receiving requests from patients, carers, service users and health professionals.

DetailedJob Description and Main Responsibilities
- Provide a high standard of support to clinical staff handling telephone calls.
- Use an electronic referral process (Systm One) to ensure requests are responded to professionally, confidentially and efficiently.
- Receive requests from patients and carers, acute hospitals, GP practices, Social Services and health care agencies.
- Communicate directly with members of the public and other services.
- Abide by Trust policies and procedures.
- Be an effective part of the team contributing to departmental objectives.
- Contribute to housekeeping and other office duties (e.g., tidiness, stock levels, equipment storage).
