Inpatient, Outpatient Details: 1 weekend per month to start. During the week, shifts are from 7 PM to 7 AM. Weekday mornings involve rounding on patients. Weekends can range from 12-24 hour shifts. On Saturdays and Sundays, only the call physician rounds on all patients. Call involves covering the ER, with occasional procedures like D&C, management of ectopic pregnancies, and emergent GYN surgeries.
