Overview

Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Piedmont Cartersville as a full-time provider. The role involves providing inpatient medical care during night shifts, collaborating with the medical team, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Examine, evaluate, and treat patients with serious medical conditions, illnesses or injuries.
• Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations and record data in patient medical records.
• Evaluate and treat patients to achieve optimal patient care.
• Write progress notes; prepare patient work‑ups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings.
• Develop plans of care that minimize complications, troubleshoot problems when they arise, and apply preventative and alternative treatment strategies for possible procedural complications.
• Handle cross cover calls and assist with admissions.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-3 years of Transplant or  with a high degree of clinical judgment

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited PA program and National Board Certification
• Or licensed as a Nurse and approved to practice as an NP by the State of Georgia with National Certification
