Cell Equipment Technician Supervisor

Location:

Cartersville, GA

We are seeking experienced and motivated Equipment Technician Supervisors to lead and coordinate personnel and oversee equipment maintenance operations within the Cell Equipment Department. These roles are essential to ensuring a safe, efficient, and productive manufacturing process that meets operational goals and customer requirements. Shift Supervisors are responsible for directing a team of hourly technicians, providing daily leadership, guidance, and accountability to ensure that both personnel and equipment perform at peak efficiency.

You will oversee shift operations, enforce safety standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives across your assigned shift. To succeed in this role, you must be a proactive problem‑solver with strong leadership and technical skills. You should be capable of balancing multiple priorities, making timely decisions, and leading your team to meet maintenance schedules and equipment performance targets.

Responsibilities
  • Decide regular maintenance schedule and breakdown maintenance with the Equipment Engineer based on equipment condition.
  • Distribute workforce for maintenance operations.
  • Keep track of ongoing maintenance operations to optimize schedule and downtime.
  • Manage and improve the working environments of Technicians, including hardship conditions or workplace conflicts.
  • Establish and revise safeguards through risk assessment of maintenance procedures based on environmental, health, and safety standards.
  • Ensure standard operating procedures of equipment maintenance are kept.
  • Check the work hours of Technicians and Operators of the Equipment Team.
  • Train Technicians in general maintenance skills, procedures, and knowledge.
  • Conduct regular meetings with Technicians to oversee major issues and events.
  • Conduct data analysis to define deep‑seeded equipment issues, especially in automation, and apply appropriate corrective measures.
  • Examine the cause of product damage due to equipment automation.
  • Improve cycle time delay in automation by optimizing mechanical components or automation logic.
  • Make development on a component level to increase productivity and production yield.
  • Improve the control system of equipment to increase process precision.
  • Analyze equipment data or video recording of equipment process if needed to create better optimization of automation and components setting.
  • Improve system automation and logics (PLC) to streamline equipment process.
  • Analyze the lifetime of equipment components and keep track of whether safety stocks are prepared.
  • Manage inventory of consumable goods and parts for general maintenance and automation.
  • Make purchase orders for consumable goods and parts.
  • Supervise the timeline and work order of technicians and third‑party contractors.
  • Distribute Technicians appropriately based on overall project timeline and workload.
  • Oversee safety conditions and regulations are kept on‑site during equipment hookup and setup.
  • Take suggestions and recommendations for general equipment or system improvement and discuss them with the Team Leader and Engineers for implementation.
  • Improve maintenance process or equipment component for maintenance optimization after discussion with Engineers.
  • All other duties assigned by management or that require immediate attention by Team members.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership position.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in equipment maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of automation, PLC, and robotics.
  • Experience in semiconductor, display manufacturing, or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of conveying systems, equipment maintenance, and breakdown maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic understanding of solar cell production.
  • Capable of understanding and modifying the PLC system.
