We are located near 9 major ports in the U.S. and rely Navigation hybrida rail infrastructure to handle imports/exports and regional distribution. At many of the Plastic Express sites, we also handle non‑plastic commodities (paper rolls, steel, building materials and other dry bulk materials). Plastic Express owns and operates roughly 250 trucks, with 250 trailers performing full bulk truck distribution.

With reporting responsibilities to the tros AVP of Liquid and In‑Plant Transloading, this position is responsible for performing and managing essential rail functions in a safety‑sensitive and production environment. Key duties include rail operations, load‑out/wash‑out operations, light maintenance, training new staff when requested, record keeping and communication of issues with management.

Works Documento closely with EHS Director, Customer Success Representatives, warehouse, trucking and sales departments. Must oversee facilities and operations to meet KPI targets and goals. Additional duties may be added or deleted at any time.

• Provide positive leadership for all warehouse and packaging staff at multiple facilities.
• Maintain staffing to accomplish required production goals for all warehouse and packaging activities.
• Maintain a safe work environment and drive the company’s safety culture into all job functions.
• Conduct and supervise daily/weekly/monthly safety meetings.
• Maintain meticulous records of employee training, counseling and reviews.
• Continuously train and develop employees and temporary staff.
Site Specific
• Publish and conduct weekly "Rule of the week" / daily Safety Briefs.
• Rail and Rail King Trainer, qualifier and recertification coordinator.
• Inventory control of rail supplies, parts, safety equipment and warehouse/office supplies.
• Participate in site safety initiatives, meetings and crew communications.
• Participate in associate training programs – new hires, current ongoing, quarterly certifications.
• Implement safety programs to enforce a strong safety culture and continuous improvement plans.
• Pre‑Incident Notification (PIN) collection, review and communication.
• Inventory control of PPE and distribution to associates.
• Conduct and participate in site‑specific safety walks/Monthly Safety Audits.
• Update file for associate safety/procedural training ISO operational procedures.
• Observe and train in proper waste disposal and environmental health.
Rail and Rail Mover
• Stage and deliver additives to the unit upon request from Ineos Operations.
• Maintain and conduct daily shift inspection of rail moving equipment – Rail Kings, rail track, switches and crossings.
• Coordinate plant diesel fuel deliveries for Rail Kings and yard truck.
• Schedule, coordinate and supervise all maintenance contractors for rail tracks, switches and related equipment.
• Perform light maintenance on rail equipment according to Rail King maintenance schedule marvel.
• Daily fluid level checks and recordings on rail equipment.
• Daily documented pellet control survey and inspection.
