Auxiliary Security Officers, $20.00 per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Observation and Vigilance: Remain alert at all times, observe surroundings for suspicious activity, potential threats, or disorderly conduct. Ensure all employees, contractors, and visitors badge is visible at all times. Acknowledge unusual activities and investigate or report to appropriate personnel.
  • Access Control: Monitor access points and check badges or identification to ensure only authorized individuals enter. Unauthorized individuals are screened until verified. No tailgating allowed; all employees, visitors and contractors swipe their access cards where card readers exist. Trespassers are promptly addressed and removed from the premises.
  • Emergency Response: In case of emergencies (medical incidents, accidents, fires, etc.), take swift action. Assist with evacuations, provide first aid, or call for help. Familiarize with emergency protocols and communication systems.
  • Crime Prevention and Deterrence: Act as a visible deterrent against criminal activity to ensure the safety of others. Conduct patrols on all platforms, parking lots, and other areas to prevent theft, vandalism, or other crimes.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of incidents, disturbances, or any unusual occurrences. Accurate note‑taking helps with investigations and ensures proper follow‑up.
  • Customer Service: Interact with employees, visitors and contractors, providing assistance and information when needed. Politeness, patience, and clear communication are essential for positive interactions. Provide excellent customer service which could include giving directions, opening doors and greeting employees, visitors and contractors in a proper manner.
Qualifications
  • Must have a Valid State BSIS California Guard Card.
  • At least 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with report writing.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Monitoring and surveillance experience.
  • Essential computer competencies.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks.
  • Comfortable with outdoor environments in diverse weather conditions.
  • Previous security experience is a PLUS!
  • Must successfully pass pre‑employment background check and drug test.
