Dignity Health Sports Park, Security Officer (Part-Time)

Location:

Carson, CA. Part-time; 3 days a week. Pay: $21.28 per hour. No bonus. Eligible for benefits (ACA qualification).

The Security Officer maintains the safety of all employees, guests and clients at Dignity Health Sports Park events through constant patrol, observation, and documentation. This position is the first point of contact for all security‑related issues and controls the diffusion of incidents at the venue while assisting with customer service requests.

• Monitor assigned area of the venue on foot; observe, report, and control ongoing activity, keeping track of unusual occurrences. Assist with ejection or control of unruly, disruptive, or intoxicated guests.
• Monitor entry and access points to ensure all guests and employees have appropriate access.
• Escort artists, VIPs, guests, and employees to protect against unwanted attention, disruption, incidents, or injury.
• Respond immediately to the fire control center to locate, acknowledge, and silence alarms; check signal area, report, and reset alarms; enact fire safety/evacuations when necessary.
• Respond, observe, and document medical situations; request EMT/medical personnel and provide minor first aid when appropriate. Coordinate transportation for friends and family of the afflicted when needed.
• Assist with all customer service needs before, during, and after each show, including directions, instructions, information, escorts, and medical assistance.
• Screen and confirm all employees, vendors, delivery personnel, guests, and artists entering the venue to ensure appropriate access. Verify documentation for validity.
• Log all activity, movement, and repairs in an appropriate log to ensure incidents are accurately documented.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of related work experience.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Excellent organization, leadership, and time‑management skills.
• Ability to qualify for a security officer license.
• Must be able to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• CPR and AED certification.
• Knowledge of rules and regulations with an understanding of right and wrong.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Guard Card.

Pay: $21.28 per hour. Not eligible for a bonus. May be eligible for benefits (ACA qualification).
