Quality Engineer
The Quality Engineer provides a broad range of quality support to achieve business objectives. This includes contract review, requirements dissemination and allocation, facilitating corrective action and supplier corrective action events, and implementing process improvements. The role involves monitoring all non-conformances and trending data to prevent reoccurrences. Quality improvement activities are conducted to strive for zero defects. As a member of the Quality Team, you will provide full service support to operations and supply chain, promoting a culture of quality and compliance.
Responsibilities- Provide quality support for contract review and requirements dissemination.
- Facilitate corrective action and supplier corrective action events.
- Implement process improvements and conduct quality improvement activities to achieve zero defects.
- Monitor and analyze non-conformances and trend data to identify and prevent recurring issues.
- Develop detailed trend and performance analytics.
- Facilitate the development and continuous improvement of quality programs.
- Provide continuous improvement coaching and development across the facility.
- 1+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer.
- Experience with non-conformances and quality improvement activities.
- Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality standards.
- Root cause analysis expertise.
- Experience with quality assurance and supplier quality.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with Tier 1 Aerospace and Defense clients is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ITAR compliance and U.S. citizenship.
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing and production.
The position offers a fast-paced, tight-knit environment where you will work closely with your manager to review non-conformances. There is potential for direct placement upon the completion of the contract position. You will be working with Tier 1 Aerospace and Defense clients, which requires adherence to stringent quality standards.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Carson, CA.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
